Discord Server ID Lookup Tool
Find Discord server IDs easily with our free Discord Server ID lookup tool. Retrieve server name, member count, creation date, and other details quickly for better community management and server verification.
Server ID vs. user ID vs. channel ID
Every Discord object — servers, users, channels, messages, roles — gets a snowflake ID: a 17–19 digit number. They all look the same, which is why pasting the wrong one into a bot config, OAuth redirect, or support ticket is a common fail. You don't need to memorize formats; you need to know which ID the task actually wants.
A server ID (guild ID in the API) always points at one community, even if the name or icon changes. A user ID always points at one account. A channel ID is narrower still — one text or voice channel inside a server. Use the table when you're unsure which to copy.
| ID type | What it identifies | When you need it |
|---|---|---|
| Server ID (guild ID) | One Discord server / community | Bot install scopes, slash-command guild testing, permission audits, support tickets about a server |
| User ID | One Discord account | Mod actions, member-targeted bot commands, profile lookups |
| Channel ID | One text or voice channel in a server | Webhooks, bots that post to a channel, discord.com/channels/ links |
How to copy a Discord server ID
Discord hides raw IDs until Developer Mode is on. Desktop / browser: User Settings → Advanced → Developer Mode. Mobile: Settings → Behavior → Developer Mode.
Then right-click (or long-press) the server icon in your server list and choose Copy Server ID. Paste that number into the lookup above — you don't need to open a channel first. Same flow works for user and channel IDs if you right-click those instead.
What this lookup returns (and who uses it)
Paste a guild ID and you get public server details: name, approximate member count, creation date (decoded from the snowflake), description when available, and other fields Discord exposes for discoverable / public servers. Private servers won't resolve here — that's expected.
Bot builders use it to confirm a guild ID before whitelisting it in a dashboard, or before registering guild-scoped slash commands (faster than waiting on global command propagation). Mods and owners use it when auditing permissions, matching audit-log entries, or filing support tickets where a display name isn't unique.
Integrations and ops teams use it the same way: verify the ID before wiring webhooks, CRM syncs, or invite flows. A server ID alone isn't an invite — only a member can create one — but confirming the ID is real and checking member count saves you from trusting a bad paste.
